It is first chenged if you click the link. until this it is the old one. Have you took a look into your Spamfolder? I didn't get a message that the email wasn't found.

Are you sure? I tried it out by myself and the script is working. I found a mail from "noreply" with the subject "New password activation" in my spamfolder. I also oversaw it the first time...

I have had new password activation emails from TOC before, they don't go to the spam folder.
I did check the spam folder and yes I am sure it's not there.

I tried opening a new account with my email address and received this reply:
"An account with that name already exists in the database. If this is not your account, please go back and choose another login name."
So it would seem that the email address ID is authentic. Does this possibly mean that the fault is only in the password? If so, why does the new password entered not work? Baffling!

We are currently working on a possibility to find out what happens to you. Until this problem is fixed you can make a new account with another Email address. Please try from time to time if you can login with your current Name and password.

Ok you might find this interesting,
I am going to talk about 2 email addresses (for personal security reasons I'll call them email A & email B)
Email address A is the email address I have been discussing in this thread and have been trying to log in with,
it has email notifications of PM's and password recovery from TOC
Email address B has email notifications of password recovery from TOC (but not notification of PM's)
Now it starts to get confusing,
Opa recently PM'd me to say he'd reset my password and I should have got a link to click on.
Email address A got an email saying I had a new PM, email address B got the email with link.
Both emails and the PM from Opa all have about the same time.
I checked my account settings in my user control panel, and the only email address there is email address A
So the question here is, why did the email saying I had a new PM go to one address,
while the password recovery link email go to a different address?
But wait ... there's more !
When I try to log in with email address B I get the avatar I was sure I was playing on email address A,
but that's probably just my memory going.
So, the question here is why is email address A registered on the database, but I can't log in with it?

It would be nice, if you can send me a PM with the real Email adresses. Maybe you forgot, with which email you registered...? I definatly send the Password recovery to the Email which is in the database.

Today I tried opening another account with a different email address -- but I used the same last password (3rd new password on old TOC account) and here is the response I got:
"Your account is either inactive or has been banned. If you are unsure as to why this happened, please check your emails or contact the support."
I checked email and found nothing. I will PM you the email address.
