Can't log on to server

It seems I can't log on. It accepts my name and password and starts updating, then just before the avatar selection screen appears it just shuts down and I'm left at my desktop without even a screen dump. I have gotten the new update downloaded to my computer. I have tried running as Administrator and get the same result.

Please check your patcher.elf logfile for errors. Deleteing the TOS.txt and retrying could help too.

I had the same problem S'ni and i deleted TOS.txt from the root folder of the game and it works now

I failed to select a language. My fault for not reading the instructions fully. Once I selected English as my Language it worked. S'ni is happy again

I have had the same problem for several days now , today i get through checking for updates , but crash after the intro .
btw how do i select a language ? not a clue .

Hi Tommyap,
The language selection is a drop down menu on the login screen where you put in your login and password.
It is blank the first time you see it, don't leave it blank, be sure to choose a language.

That may resolve your login problem (note I did say may)

Now I keep crashing ... read on ...

I logged in, looking to start Eden Gira, but the book was not on my bookshelf

I decided to try linking to the Cleft (which I have not done yet)
knowing that I crash linking to many ages as my graphics card is dead (yes I'll buy a new one)
and the PC is using onboard graphics which aren't good enough.
I thought of trying to link in 1st person (1st person helps in COD)

The screen went black and nothing happened.
I alt-tabbed out of TOC to the desktop and closed the program.
Now when I try to log in I get to the screen with the pulsing "The Open Cave" and "Approximately x seconds remaining"
Then I crash to desktop

Startup manager (ctrl+alt+del) shows no TOC program running
and the TOC MOUL list of online players shows me offline

Help please?

Please check your patcher.log file (e.g. with PlasmaShop). Maybe something went wrong with your files.

I can't find it ... where is it (or where should it be)?
and when I find it, what do I do with it? Bear in mind I've not used Plasmashop before.
