Exploring outside pods

A couple years ago, included in an update, a method for traveling outside pods and returning. I have used it a couple times but that was quite awhile back. Can someone refresh my memory.

For Negilahn and Payiferen

Example
Link into Negilahn turn around and
------------ this is the same for both ---------------------
stand in front of the main port
Type "/jump 10"
Depress "CAPS-Lock" Key
Depress and hold left mouse key
NOW depress "ENTER" Key

I tried your method and could not get it to work. However, I was able to use the following sequence:
/float
/x 20
/nofloat

This puts me on the ground just outside the pod. This worked in three of the pods. I didn't try it in Tetsonot (sp?) due to no lights.
