The Stairs above the Pub

During yesterday's presentation I spotted the stairs above the Pub so today I couldn't resist to come explore them and take some pics

I'm really surprised that seemingly so many people don't know about that stairs. I saw this first when discovering a TPots-Offline-Installation in Flymode.

It's rather interesting to see this (and some other places), that apparently were built in as preparations for planned Expansions of the old Myst Online. As we all know, that unfortunately never happened ... .

But who knows what will happen when Wonderwoman Filtik keeps her great work up (yes, I'm sometimes a little bit pathetic ... just a little bit ). Seriously, I'm really impressed and wish to have your abilities to give you a helping hand. Sorrowly I have not, so I only can thank you for all you have done for this Shard!

Yes, well, we don't all have a Flymode, nor the TPots-Offline thing Maybe that's why we are slower in discovering the goodies. I thought I had been practically everywhere in the CoD, but there are still surprises all the time, I love that.

Well, I was just too curious, Rock . But I can recommend this experience, it's really interesting to see how ages are constructed - and what could be possible with adaequate man- (and woman- ) power.

Teledahn, for example, was absolutely surprising. There are solid, full textured areas where you never can go to as a player. As I said, they really planned to expand their worlds ...

Hi Rock I guess it is from your age, but it seems you forgot when we found that place only with jumping and exploring the "right" path to the Arch... (chuckle)
Anyway, we found it long time ago, when the physics engine allowed it. A hint: the start point of climbing was the rock wall on the left of the entrance of the Museum...
By "we" i mean me, you, GB, Heart... (sorry if i missed somebody)

No, no I remember very well our Right path to the Arch starting by the Museum. My memory is perfectly fine hehe.

These stairs are above the Pub, and when you get to the bottom of them, you fall into the pub's semicircular backroom. At the top, you get into the Takotah Palace, and should there be a solid floor, you'd come out on the Plaza by the Door where we first gathered for the Ancient Book of Fate quest.

But of course, maybe you found them some day I wasn't there.

Do you remember the "Gas Chamber"? Above it, there is an edge from witch we jumped off to the edge above the tokotah alley. We ran around the opposite side, and from there you can jump directly onto these stairs!

P.S.: From that edge, where the first jump is made we also found the big empty black box (black inside)
P.P.S.: I've tested it - it is still accessable this way, no "magical" commands used at all

I found these stairs a couple years ago and decided it was an unfinished project. If you use KI commands, you can get to the hidden stairs from about the middle of the great stairway. Maybe Mystler can add this to his project list, if he hasn't already.

I used to love getting to the Arch from the right side near the Museum.
Great fun.
Loved the left side too, but it seemed to take quite awhile.
Discovered the "monkey face" on the left side on the way to the Arch.
TOC is the greatest.

Where is this "Gas Chamber" you refer to. Maybe I already found it and didn't know it. I know there is an empty area behind "Sharper's Office". I have also found other closed (no entrance) rooms in the Takotah building.
