Level of pellet
What does the level of the pellet do I notice it is 10 levels and never come close to level 10. I seem to be around 6 with 200 lake points and a 1000 to 940 points. So what does the level mean

Re: Level of pellet
Actually, I'm not sure either. It's a calculation by Cyan and I think it is equivalent to which effect you will see when you drop the pellet.

Re: Level of pellet
Like Hawkster, I too noticed that he COD Pellet indicator had jumped up to the 7/10ths scale mark early 2/2/14 PST (Lake was nicely bright too), from earlier marks of 2/10ths, shortly after I had made a modest contribution; and I assumed that others must have made that happen (a new emote command ?). I thought about taking a KI shot of the COD light meter, but didn't. Now I wish I had; because it's back to 2/10ths 24hours later. Does this particular recipe raise the Lake light in the short term, then fade off back to a long term subsistance level ? Might be.....
One odd thing then, was that I accidentally "lost" 1 of 5 batch pellets (moved too slow) and it dropped (by sound) inside the Ercana dump tank, but I still managed to arrive at the Testing station without it, but which appeared to accept the absent pellet too, (also showing a 7/10ths scale,), complete with bright lights. Did this create an anomaly ? Probably not....dunno, yet.
After registering the points on DRC(30) Hood imager, I noticed that credit was (correctly) registered for 4 pellets, not 5; later I went to COD and saw the 7/10ths scale, and today I noticed that its back to 2/10ths, as noted above.
I'm beginning to recall the Gametap MOUL Cyan (Watson's) advice to seek "an enduring (orange) color" (for long term effects ?). The recipee most of us are using seeks to obtain high points I suspect, which may be immaterial or shortlived. My particular recipe burned white hot with limited test endurance, too. Perhaps we should be designing for orange test endurance instead ? (It didn't make any observable lake or Meter difference in Gametap, at the time)
Given that we now have some demonstrable lake light behaviour to COD Meter level validation (YaY !), high Test Points may not be the objective, and it clearly needs some experimentation....and I'm still struggling with Filtik's helpful calculator
It might be that one particular cooking recipe parameter gives us endurance, perhaps, to distuinguish "short" from "Long" term effectivity.
One simple fact stands out: There simply won't be enough of us to sustain either a short term or a long term light improvement given that we have a fixed lake volume and a permanent sub-critical mass of Pellet Chefs, UNLESS our effectivity is scaled ("Normalized") to reflect our average attendance,,,in which case Filtik's calculator may need another variable, which effectively defines the critical proportion of Explorercookscooking per month to attain stable improvements. I don't think Cyan ever did get this meter thing right before.....
And I wouldn't normally have mentioned any of this, except to encourage other avies to post too...Its probably going to take a Team effort to resolve these Pellet Matters, particularly if Mystler is Mystified too

Re: Level of pellet
I have tried that but if people use are wrong setting it will acually lower the level of the meter like when you do exploding pellets. I have fpound a good combination but i do not know if I am actuallt get the lake points no way to tell
