Hi ... I thought I'd do a guide on how to make T-Shirts which you can ask the TOC team to upload for you into TOC.
I'm not the only one to have made T-Shirts for TOC, but I thought that maybe more of you would have a go if I did a guide on it.
First you will need the blank textures to start your T-Shirt with. You can find the links here :
http://forums.the-open-cave.net/viewtop ... p=642#p642
These are .tga files and I know GIMP (an image editing program) will open them,
I don't know if any other image editor will open them as I only use GIMP.
Now go ahead and create your masterpiece T-Shirt. You may need to learn to use GIMP (or other image editor),
but once you do, your T-Shirt will look better the more time and care you put into it.

Here you can see how the referee shirt as a template looks on an avatar.
The back of the shirt is the area above the neck hole, and it is upside-down !!!!
There is one thing you need to remember, these templates may look flat, but they change slightly once the texture is applied to the mesh that makes your avatar. Some ideas for your design may not work as well as you might expect once it's applied to the avatar. The only way to know, is to ask the TOC team to upload it and let you see how it looks. They can withhold it from full import until you are happy with it. Once you are, send the files (you should have a male & female version) to one of the TOC team, at the moment, Mystler will help you.
There are also some options you can ask for with your shirt. I have made shirts where only members of a specific hood could wear it.
Up to two colours can be configurable or no colours if you want (like the referee shirt, which is supposed to be white with black stripes.)
Ask whoever is uploading your shirt if they can set it how you want it.
And that is about it when it comes to making T-Shirts.
If you can save / export the finished shirt as a .tga fiie and send that to the TOC team, it will make their task easier to help you.
Lastly, I must say, please avoid making T-Shirts that have any copyrighted images, let's save the TOC team any possible problems.
