MARKER GAMES ARE NOT WORKING

since two days ago no marker game made by players is working ! markers are visible but cannot be "pinged' and of course what's written on them can't be seen.

I have just tested it and Marker games seem to be working fine for me.

Mystler, 3 players checked - Kirk of Xeniphers, Hawkster and myself. We can see markers but we cannot 'ping' them. Our avatars just go through them and they remain there not 'pinged'. I just checked a 5 mins ago but nothing changed. No marker game is working for us. I played one of the games 3 days ago and it was working, but unfortunately, not anymore So please look into it. We were looking forward to playing marker games and now we cannot do it. It's very disappointing.

I went to check too, and met Janaba who was there with the same purpose. I did a test game in the CoD, and it worked fine the first time, as did Janaba's in the Great Zero:



Then we exchanged our games and tried them. We could see the markers but they wouldn't pop nor any text appeared. When each of us tried his/her own game for the second time, we couldn't see the markers.

Even so, Zesty, 'very disappointing' sounds a bit too harsh on a free shard that is offered generously by a group of enthousiasts. In the beginning we have had lots of crashes and with time the shard has been growing more stable and steady. And we like it as it is. I suppose for all the disappointed players, there is always the Cyan MOULa to go back to. I liked your nice message on the Anniversary thread and thought you would be more understanding. Nevertheless, thank you for communicating the problem, only so the OC can evolve into perfection.

Mystler, Janaba and I have both sent you our test games, to help you detecting the problem. Mine is in the City of Dimensions, on the big platform on the second level in the Upper City (where we found that special Point in the ABF adventure), and Janaba's in the Great Zero at the beginning of the Beam. I would also suggest you try your own test for the second time. The first time it works, then - once the game is completed - it doesn't.

Hello RockArdemar. I think you didn't understand my disappointment in the first place to start with. I said I am disappointed because we can't play marker games NOT that we are disappointed with TOC. There is nothing in my post that indicates lack of understanding or general dissatisfaction with the shard. Second, I believe that posting about problems and glitches can be only beneficial and can only encourage us to make the game better for all of us. I think you took my post a bit too personally. You love TOC and so do we and we do play it in parallel with MOULA. It is also the only shard we are the members of.

Now to the subject, please note, as I said, all marker games functioned well until 2 days ago. So the problem has nothing to do with the latest update.

OK Thanks for your comment. I am sorry for the misunderstanding then.
I used to play a lot on the MOULa before, but lately I find it too crowded so I prefer the quieter Open Cave. Besides, the ambience is cooler here

The Tournament will take place in the evening, European time. I too live in Europe (Catalonia) and so do the TOC Masters of the Game / Tournament organisers (Germany). If you can make it, it will be a pleasure meeting you there

It was our intent to give the TOC team affirmation, in case the others were right and they are, and more experience references so that they know or can at least imagine what this sudden issue might be about ... We have restarted the server, last night. Since it looks like the problem is not caused by the last update, I hope this fixes the issue.

Oh, another misunderstanding. Sorry.
In that part I was telling Mystler that Janaba and I have sent him our test games in the case it might help him detect the problem. I see I shouldn't have put a comma but a dash or a colon instead.

I am still busy with RL matters here, but as soon as I can I'll go to the OC. See you there, maybe!
