No, it was not 7 cloths, it was 10 cloths. The cloths in the city have a potential of 10 glowing segments anyway.Hoikas wrote:Originally, there were only 7 journey cloths total across the entire game (this was back in 2002 during closed beta) with the only bahro door being accessible from Eder Kemo, which was accessed via the Neighborhood (its book occupied the pedestal that Delin and Tsogal do now). Those three journey cloths are leftovers from that era. The change to seven cloths and a door in each age came when Ubi forced Cyan to make a single player component.

10 glowing segments? Can you tell us more about that, I'm intrigued ?!?!?Ehren wrote: No, it was not 7 cloths, it was 10 cloths. The cloths in the city have a potential of 10 glowing segments anyway.
I do know one thing: when we touch the 5 clothes in the city we don't see the same thing that touching 5 clothes inside an normal age where they can be found. I thought it was a bug.
Re: Journeys in COD
On my experiments, I already seen 5 journey cloths in city, 2 in neighborhood (I don't remember when or on witch shard).
But I noticed something:
In city, the 5 found makes the palm of the journey cloth glow... Not the 4 fingers, only the palm ; but 1 part was missed...
But But (lol) if I touched these cloths while wearing Yeesha's shirt, the missed part of the palm was no longer missed... So, the palm was completely glowing (again: not the 4 fingers)!
(So, my thinking is there were not 10 but 9 journey cloths...)

Re: Journeys in COD
Just learned something interesting here...
...oh, I'm getting a lot of wear out of Catherine's shirt
Which shirt is 'Yeesha's Shirt'? I am confused now. In her holographic appearances in the Cleft, I remember she wore a grey shirt or tunic, long with a white design on it, three red dots at the top in a vertical pattern, a light blue collar and lighter blue sash. Yet, in the City I see folks wearing a tan shirt with a hand print on it... which is which, and where do they come from?...if I touched these [5] cloths while wearing Yeesha's shirt, the missed part of the palm was no longer missed... So, the palm was completely glowing

Re: Journeys in COD
It's the Yeesha Reward Shirt, with the hand symbol on the front, that you get after completing the four-pillars journey, the one that was Ages Beyond Myst.

Re: Journeys in COD
I thought it was the red tunic??
I am wearing the shirt with the journey hand symbol on it and the big Chinese hat. Currently I can only find two of the journeys. Those are in the general vicinity of the cave T-junction. I know there used to be one in a doorway in the COD courtyard but I don't see it there any more.
Could someone post the locations of the other journeys with a spoiler button? I have searched most of the areas that don't have their own journey cloths. If this is deemed inappropriate, I understand.

Re: Journeys in COD
It isn't the Yeesha shirt itself, but rather completing the game up to getting back to the cleft that gives you a possible 6th part for the hand glow... so even without using the shirt it would have been there.manloc wrote:if I touched these cloths while wearing Yeesha's shirt, the missed part of the palm was no longer missed... Yes NellieBly, the "Yeesha's shirt" is the one with the journey hand on it... A reward from her for having completed the 4 pilars Ages, that we can find in the closet at back from Tomahna (Rainy Cleft).

Re: Journeys in COD
In my experience, you only need to finish the game (4 pillar ages that is) BUT once you do finish them the cloth progress you collected in the city is all reset, but you now have an extra point for the cloths so that once you do recollect them, you can have the full palm segment which is made of 6 "glow parts" rather than just having 5.
I know it sounds weird, but remember that the cloths are from an abandoned idea, and Uru seems to use the same Chronicle that was once used to keep track of the city cloths to now mark when you finish the initial four pillar journey. The cloths in the city then mistake that mark for a different cloth.
