Disco Area Music

Post by Alien »

I am not sure how many of you knew this, but the disco area in TOC can be made to play your music files.

First you need to convert them to ogg files. You can use a program like Audacity to do this.
Next, you need to save them to MyMusic > TOC-codDisco (in Audacity Export them)
The MyMusic folder can be found in your TOC folder where you installed the game.

It used to be the case, that you needed to speed up these files (again using a program like Audacity) as TOC played them too slow,
but I tried the disco area just now and found it played my ogg file at the correct speed.
(I was going to write a guide on how to get it to play at the correct speed)

There is a control on the wall under the speakers that will allow you to play all your tracks again if you click on it

It is very hard to see and even when I brightened this picture, I still had trouble seeing it, so I put the arrow in there to point it out,
but it is there, I promise you :)

There are other ways of course, simply play your music through your favourite media player,
or have someone stream music for you all to listen to.
The advantage with someone streaming is, of course that you all hear the same song at the same time.

I thought I'd share that with you all

Yeah! Thanks a lot Alien, for making us all aware of that beautiful facility to enhance the fun ... :)

I've always wondered how that would possibly work ... I thought that maybe only our TOC team
was capable to initiate and organize a 'real' party in that neatly arranged disco/party environment
above the city ... I believe, most of us might haven't had the slightest idea that this would be
ready for us to use by now ... So, let the parties begin, the real ones! ... :D

Haha ... funny .... Scarchu, after sooo many years in the Uru community I know quite a lot,
maybe, but I don't know everything ... and I also don't need to ...

There are and have always been some diligent and passionate people in our community putting
all the great and helpful information together and sharing those with all of us, which is really
nice and very much appreciated ... :D

Re: Disco Area Music -- /Elevator Music

I found the button or rather a mouse hot spot that turned on the music.

Now I am wondering if there is a way to change the elevator music? I am beginning to dislike that song very much and would like to change it.

Thanks for your small guide, Alien.

I'm not sure but I believe converting the songs to mono OGGs solved the speed problem.
