Authentication Failed!

Ok! I admit I'm not the most savvy computer tech guy, buy I know some basics.

Here is how it has gone. I went to the forum and read the technical topics first to see what the common problems and fixes are and copy pasted them all into a Word file for later reference.
Followed the drop down Home menu for TOC by creating an account. "JahmenMyst" created password. . . ????? same as to join site & Forum.

I downloaded the TOC installer and ran it and watched it extract files and load them screen, done launch! I already have a MOUL,a installed.
Got the welcome to The Open Cave Myst online UruLive login screen which auto-loaded into update mode and then I got the dreaded. . .
"d3dx9.dll" not found error message. No worries! I then knew I need the newest DirectX Version from Microsoft.download so I went to Microsoft download for DirectX.

Down loaded it and rebooted my computer and then back in to launch the TOC again. But I get Authentication Failed! I know I have the right User Name and Password!
Then I noticed I'm not listed as a Member in Members here. Shouldn't I have become listed as a Member when I signed up?
You can see by my post here that my site name and password work. So why not for the TOC load update login?

The account for the game and this website are separate. When you got to the login box when starting the game click 'need an account?' and it will walk you through setting up a game account. Good luck
