That's normal atm, the launcher still says 2.8 but that does not affect the game client.

Hope is a good thing...
But doesn't work today
Still the same problem, after the crash the Uruexplorer is still in memory but no CPU usage.

Re: Updates 2013/02/17
I went in TOC and played in COD. I went there directly because I had this bad feeling...the physics changes will affect many explorers.
We are brought back 1 full year in time in term of avatar motion. We have lost, in top of that, the combo ability. We do not stick anymore on surface with more than 45 degrees angle. The more the angle is high the fastest we slide.
In COD:
1) we can still access easily (not as easy as before) the original side of the Arch (left side when facing the Arch at the top of the Stairs)
2) we have to be very skilled to climb the rock wall between Tokotah Building 2 and the Museum. It makes it hard to reach these areas:
a. right side of the Arch
b. Tokotah Building 2 itself given the fact you are not going thru the inside book link (you are trapped there anyway)
c. Almost all the highest Ferry buildings
3) we can still climb on the stalagmite range between the canyon and the lake but it's quite hard and you have to be very skilled to go to the other end or to climb very high (sliding zones & holes everywhere)
4) we can reach some of the Palace buildings top and balconies
5) we CAN'T reach no more any stalagmite top
6) we CAN'T reach the best balcony of the Palace which is near the Hall of Kings
Overall, you will immediately feel something has changed. Even the easiest paths are not as easy. Some of the paths now are very hard. Remember that your avatar will bounce not stick anymore so if you jump against a surface be sure the Newton's Law will be applied and the surface will make you bounce back with great strength.

Re: Updates 2013/02/17
I also can't get in
It's as if there is something crashing it when it tries to bring up the avatar select screen
I don't know how to do a log dir like Scarchu.
EDIT: Here is my log dir http://dl.dropbox.com/u/6369786/TOC%20F ... %20Log.zip
I hope it helps

Re: Updates 2013/02/17
Thanks for the logs, I'll try to find out why some people can't get in. Can you maybe specify your hardware/OS specifications?
@Annabelle,
I maybe should make clear that the CoD was never supposed to allow climbing 90° walls. Of course, it's nice if you can walk around to see unknown places but even on TOC a realistic physics simulation should have more priority than CoD exploits.
