Can i ask you, TOC Team, to bring back the boat in CoD, cause with or without it people still crash a lot, so better have it and have fun with it than not have it?
P.S.: i know i will become too much asking, but me and some other players wanted to ask - can you make solid 2, 3 places in COD additionly ?
@gabriml,
I remember someone asking about that before, but that would be quite difficult. Also, disabling panic linking would just lead to an endless fall.
You can simply type /a to respawn, in case you fall.
No, he meant that there are some places, where the ground is solid, but when you approach an invisible barrier, you get panic link-out without any reason.
EDIT: for example, such place is the right side of the library near the water.
Ah, I'm sorry if I misunderstood you.
This will best be solved by manually creating a collision for those parts of the city. I can not guarantee that will happen quickly.
If you mean by collision, a solid walkable surface, they already exist. The 'panic link zone' is a location where a panic link occurs whether it is needed or not. For example:
1. If you are walking under the Takota Alley where it is solid, you just link out.
2. If you are walking under the library on the lakeside cliff where it is solid, you just link out.
I think they were created by Cyan to make sure you were linked out before you went through the scenery. But now that the scenery is solid the 'panic link zones' are unnecessary and more of a nuisance.
Thanks for your time,
Mark
@Scarchu - Homer Simpson has an appropriate expression - D'ho!

The first person who asked to remove the panic links in the COD was me nearly a year ago.
Disabling panic zones DOESN'T mean enabling endless falls. There are 2 ways to panic out of a given age in URU: hitting a panic zone or falling off a given number of d'ni feet (in MOUL, each age has it own prefixed range, in TPOTS it's the well-known 1,608 Feet).
The 4 panic links to disable are (here are the SceneObjects and the PRP in which they are to be found):
PanicLinkRegion in District_library.prp,
PanicLinkRegion in District_canyon.prp,
BridgePanicRegion in District_canyon.prp,
PanicLinkRegion in District_courtyard.prp.
Someone like me knows where they start where they end so I can easily manage to avoid them as much as I can but for 99% of the explorers they are not aware or don't even know what is a "panic region". You must do that for them. They will find their journeys more enjoyable that way.
I know a vote wasn't called for but I also vote for getting the boats back. I can ride the boat in TPOTS but somehow it doesn't seem as much fun as it is in TOC-Moul.
