I have changed/reset my login/password three times now and still having trouble. I got to the startup screen once but the only thing I could do was select my avvie. When I clicked on "Play", nothing happened. I exited and tried again and login failed.
I am using Windows XP SP3. I have the latest version of DirectX (9.0c I think) installed. Video card is NVidia 9800GT. 4GB RAM, 1.4 TB total disk space. Processor is quad-core intel at 2.4 GHZ.
I will try again later.

Re: Problems logging in
I managed to get in one time after posting this. The next time I tried, it wouldn't take my login/password.

Re: Problems logging in
I've reset my password six or seven times in past 24 hours and still can't log in to game server. It always report "Invalid username or password or account is banned". Do I need to reinstall?

Re: Problems logging in
Excuse my question, but What is the common between reinstall and "Invalid username or password or account is banned" ???
Do you understand what this message means?
there are two possibilities:
1.) either you mess your log on credentials or you don't remember them;
2.) there is a problem with the server;
I guess it is number one though, cause i play the game too, like several other players and no one have that kind of problems.

Re: Problems logging in
Scarchu, thank you for responding but the problem does not appear to be on my end. My login and password have been working fine the past few months up to the time of the update. The link you provided is the same as TOC-Home->MOUL>Retrieve Password which I have done several times. Another interesting fact is that I can go to TOC-Home>TOC-MOUL-Interface and login with no problem. Perhaps that is not the same server.
I am willing to completely reinstall the game. I believe all my game progress is stored on the server and will not be lost. However, I don't think I should waste my time if that is not going to solve the problem.
In the past two days, I have successfully logged on to the game two times. However, when I exited the game after successful login, I am not able to do it again. That sounds like a server problem to me.
I reinstalled TPOTS last week because of a similar problem. It is working fine. I had to redo a few things but most of my game progress was preserved.
Maybe I'll just sit back and watch for a few days to see what happens. I know you folks are extremely busy right now and I probably need to wait until "the dust settles". I worked in IT for 30 years and I know what it is like to do a major server upgrade but you get through it.
Have a great Holiday season.

Re: Problems logging in
I do not really have an idea why you cannot login (and why you're the only one) but I can tell you that resetting your password several times won't fix the issue, especially not if you can login to the interface.
The Problem seems to be one with your client. Maybe you should download the server.ini and place it in your TOC-folder again.

Re: Problems logging in
I replaced server.ini and that did not fix the problem. I guess I'll do a full reinstall and see where things go from there. I'll keep you posted.

I can log in fine with avi "Creek", but my older, original avi "Creeky" no longer works. Error message says: UNTRANSLATED: Set active player failed. Vault note not found.
