Yes, it looks and sounds great. I'm only exploring and observing for the moment, although I did manage to do a few things (raising the lenses in the light puzzle, for instance, and getting into the caves). For the moment it does seem intriguing and promising. A new Adventure begins.... ^^
As you said, too bad there are only 3 slots for saving.

How are you doing Janaba? Have you
Spoiler:
activated the Stones
already? ;)

Haha ... no, Rock, I'm not very far in my explorations yet as well lol ... I must say, I didn't
have any time to explore after my initial tour and roamings around this world at all, and I
don't know when I'll be ready to go on exploring ... :P

I wish you and everybody much luck on your journey and can't wait to see the first hints
and astounding findings by anyone ... Don't forget to look onto the developer's website
every now and then ... Yesterday, they've asked to send them emails for any issues and
support needed and they'd answer as soon as possible ... Go on having fun, everyone ... :D

Hello, Rock and everyone trying to solve the mysteries in this games' world, there is finally
help available, we're not alone anymore haha ... :D

I just posted my findings on the MOUL forums and I'm going to just quote my post here again
for your convenience ...
Hey, everyone ... finally someone left a hint in the comments section on the developer's page ... :P

He or she mentioned the 'Gameboomers Forums' with hints to 'The Five Cores' being presented and
discussed ... You'll find several forums posts there already in 'Adventure discussions', 'Glitches' and
'Adventure Game Hints & Help' ... Just have a look around there everywhere a bit ... :)

The most recent and substantial 'Hints & Help' thread is this one, where you will find many valuable
hints and tips already, and the best is one doesn't feel so alone and helpless anymore lol ... There is
even someone, Mordack, who already finished the whole game and is offering help and tips to everyone ...

I didn't google for more treasure chests like that yet, but now we know the game is quite popular and
highly valued and others as we are trying to unveil the secrets of this world which is great ...
So, let's keep going and have some fun ... :D

I'm curious: I guess you've played the Five Cores for some time now and I'd like to know what your reviews would be. How good is the game in the end? There was a lot of hype but is it still as good as it was expected?
Are there also any data like the time you need to complete the game, the complexity, the quality? Maybe you can create a rating.

Rating... from 1 to 10, 1 is the worst i'll give 8.
Good graphics, good thinking.... good graphical engine selected (Unreal 3).
The negatives: a lack of Option menu, not so fine controls (the running is awful) not so good storyline... if you know the puzzles the game is doable for 1 hour.. maybe less.
The puzzles requires out-of-moul thinking and you will be ok with them.
Personally the thing i don't like is the shortness of the game, not so mane interactive items and too much garbage to distract you while you thinking on the puzzles.
But, Hey, it is something fresh! I Like it! I want to be more in future updates!

P.S.: Come on, give us some new stuff here (TOC).. some update in COD.. some new puzzle.... Thank you 8-)

I didn't play through the whole game yet, but what I saw and experienced was just awesome ... :P

Mystler and all interested, I've posted everything anybody might want to know on the MOUL forums
already, and the developers released a Demo at the end of September, so, everyone, just give it
a try ... it's absolutely worth it ... :D

For all not roaming the MOUL forums very often or not at all I'll quote my information below again ...
Enjoy ... :)
Spoiler:
The first walkthroughs are ready ... This is a complete english one, and on
gamepad.de you'll find a completed german walkthrough ... :P

Don't forget to look into the Gameboomer's forums mentioned in my post above ...
They are very gentle, very friendly and helpful ...

Today I discovered a german adventure games forum where a few gameplay/keyboard
functions of the Unreal Engine, which is being installed along with the Net Framework and
the game, are nicely explained, and which is what I was looking for ...

The main movement keys everybody should know by now:
- Cursors up, down, right and left plus additional w,a,s,d, where 'a' and 'd' are strafe right and strafe left
- you jump as always with 'Space' and you can jump with 'Ctrl' as well
- the 'Shift' key accelerates your speed
- 'Esc' offers the menue for 'Save', 'Load', 'Resume' and 'Quit'

now here it comes

- with the F1 key you're getting the 'WireFrame Rendering', means you're landing in
the Matrix lol, and you get out of that state with pushing three times F8 where you're
moving through different states of renderings (works also with F7 btw)
- F11 toggles between 'Fullscreen' and 'windowed mode'
- press Alt+Tab to get to your desktop as usual
- with F9 you can take high-res-screenshots and find them as bmp
under --> C or else:\UDK\The Five Cores\UDKGame\Screenshots\Win32

With 'Tab' you can activate many 'Exec functions in UnrealScript' appearing at the
bottom of the screen ... Find a complete list of them here, though they're not fully
available, but some funny and interesting functions like 'Fly', 'Walk', 'FOV', 'Exit', 'Ghost' etc...
might be interesting ...

When using 'Fly' you can get back to the ground using the 'Walk' command,
this is esp. necessary when you'd like to activate something (hand cursor) which
doesn't work when in fly mode ...
When using 'Ghost', where you can move through walls and everything lol, you can
go back to normal mode with the same 'Walk' command ...

Yeah, I believe that is it so far ... There's a lot to explore, to try out and to have fun with ... Enjoy ... :D

A little correction Janaba, with the new update - the F1 and F8 functions doesn't work anymore.

F1 can be used for a big spoiler though ;)

also...
Spoiler:
with the "~" button you can call the engine console and do some very nice ("nasty") tricks ;) Everyone who played Unreal tournament game series knows what i mean :)
