Gahreesen Wall Problem

Post by PeterC »

When climbing the wall in a game in Gahreesen, the barriers set by the opposing team are visible on the wall. There were mean to be invisible otherwise the game is too simple.

We need more details please.

When are they visible exactly? (After the first person has sucessfully climbed the wall or before?)
Where? (On the big wall?)
What did you do - exactly?
Whose Gahreesen did you use? (A player's or the one in the Contest Hood?)

Screenshots would help. I'm wondering because we've done extensive testing and never had that error.

I was also present in Gahreesen at the time and can confirm it was a player version.

Well, details are still missing. Had the other player already finished his wall climb... ect. See post #2. We need to know where to look for any errors, since it worked for us.

I think the solution for the wall is supposed to be displayed on both sides after one person wins/quits. Since you already lost, it lets you see if your opponent cheated you or not. (Like entirely blocking your path or something)

That's how it was in the UU days, though I never got very far with the wall here in TOC. Even using a test avatar and new Gahreesen, I am unable to interact with the control panel grid itself.

Al Bina's 'How to play The Wall Game' says

"When the winner has entered the Maintainer Nexus, all blockers (from both players) will become visible on the wall."
The official 'Gahreesen Training Wall' journal in one of the conference rooms says the same ... :P

Since these forums are 'dead' since Opa has left us, though it was nice to see so many comments and words of appreciation,
but the energy has dropped already before, yeah, however, I'm asking myself what is going on here and esp. in this case if the
'Wall Tournament' will take place tomorrow ... Four people, means two rounds, should be enough to test the new implemented
functionalities, unless more will join us in a last minute 'jump on the bandwagon' as it happened the last time ... :D

Yep, it will definitely take place as long as there are players. :) I guess we'll do it round robin style (jeder gegen jeden), counting the wins and let the 2 best players do a final match. :)
