I prefer win98 compatibility...it's even older
Many should play with the compatibility mode because most issue I hear is: "I don't go anymore on TOC because I crash in COD!!!" hmmm well, play with compatibility and all will be resolved! And yes the "run as administrator" is essential even more for those that run under Windows Vista/7 32/64 bits.

I go for Windows XP (Service Pack 3) and that's always worked well. Also, editing install folder Security permissions for Full control to Users. I guess that just negates the need for running the program as an admin when I do that.
