Well, the file does not say very much... Maybe it helps, if you recopy your dat folder from Uru Live. I hope it is only a corrupted file, which causes the problem...

nope still crash ...
but it did download some updates before the login screen appeared

almost did it .... I deleted the TOC dat folder (instead of just copying over it which I did at first)
The avatar select screen came up, eventually, and I selected the avatar I used earlier (Alien) ...........

...... and crashed to desktop

I wasn't going to post this at first as I am having GFX problems,
but after the recent MOULa update, I notice it's not all my fault.

The Problem
I simply can't play in TOC.
Either I crash to desktop when the launcher tries to bring up the avatar select screen,
or I crash to desktop when it tries to bring up relto, or trying to link to the city.

So I tried re-copying the dat folder.
The launcher wanted to update, but it stopped when it tried to download Global_District_Clothing_Female.prp.gz
I got the Global_District_Clothing_Female.prp file from a friend then it wanted the male clothing
So I also got the male clothing file from a friend and I managed to log in.

But now, I can't log in, it crashes to desktop trying to bring up the avatar select screen
So I re-copied the dat folder.
Now it will not update. Even though I copy & paste into the dat folder the two clothing files from a friend,
the launcher still wants to download them from the server, but can't

NOW ... this is due to my GFX problems, right?

I can log in to MOULa with no problems.
Since the update the problems I had have GONE !
I can go to the cleft, which I could not do before the update in either MOULa or TOC

Please explain (preferably fix) why I can go places in MOULa I can't in TOC
Why is TOC so unstable for me? It can't be 100% my GFX problems
Why won't the update download two files from your server?

This is keeping me out of TOC (which will no doubt make some people happy)

Did you delete your dat folder before copying the one from MOULa? Make sure to use MOULa 905, re-copying the sfx folder could help, too.

So here my recommended list:
- Delete dat, sfx and TOS.txt in your TOC directory
- Start UruLauncher in your MOULa directory and check for updates.
- Copy MOULa dat and sfx (no need to copy streamingCache) to your TOC folder.
- Start TOC launcher.

I will release a tool for doing that this evening or tomorrow.

I did exactly what you said and it solved the problem
And I can also now visit places in TOC I could not before Cyan's update

I'd also like to say thank you for putting up with my constant "why won't it ... "
The TOC team patiently help me and it is appreciated each and every time.

Yeah, after you reported problems with your Avatar clothing files, I also slightly changed some things on the dataserver. It was either that or the retry.
I'm glad it works now.
