hello, i am about to change the motherboard and processor on my desktop computer.
now, my question is - will i have to install TOC from the scratch, following the same (not always successful) procedure, or is it possible to save the files as they are on a disc / USB stick and just copy them when my new computer is ready ? i am just so afraid that something will go wrong so please someone explain step by step what i have to do.
thanks a lot

Yes, you can simply copy your TOC folder over to the new machine and run UruLauncher. The only thing you'll not have is the shortcuts that the installer creates. In case you want those, you can re-run the installer to that folder.

In case the copied version is not working, make sure you have the MSVC++ 2013 runtime, PhysX, and DirectX installed. The installers for those come with TOC.

You should also check in

C:\Users\<username>\AppData\Local\The Open Cave (Win 7) or

C:\Documents and Settings\<username>\Application Data\The Open Cave (Win XP)

for a few configuration files, portraits, logs and images.
