It seems we've missed this year's Wall Tournament somehow.

I am just out of the OC, after having some fun on the Wall with Doobes and Age on our own.
We've commented it would be really nice if we could have a broader Tournament soon. Now that we have a GoMe Pub on the Shard, maybe those who do not want to participate but prefer to observe could watch the Wall screens from there instead of piling up in Gahreesen - it could be like in the RL when people meet to follow sporting events in pubs.
Would it be possible to put the Meeting Room screens in the GoMe Pub?

As for the timing - the Xmas is getting near (and that means lots of us will be rather unavailable during the 2nd half of December), but maybe some time in late November, early December or early January could be good?

I remember when COD started up and they had a
video playing above the great stairs facing the arch.
I think it was from Star Trek.
I also have wondered if it would be possible to have a movie night
where everyone watch a movie along the great stairs with the sound
from an internet site.

But, the wall tournament? Great idea Rock.

We've had 2 Wall Tournaments already, but this year we seem to have forgotten it. Maybe we were all a bit too overoccupied
However, if Mr.Rosenqvist is free and willing, we might still be on time to do the 2014 edition.

You're right, Rock. We promised a new Wall tournament several months ago. Unfortunately, there was so much going on in the last few months...
Anyway, this is something we really should do, preferably this year. I'd like you all to post when you think is a good time. Maybe end of November? I'll poke Filtik and Opa about it too.

Regarding the TV screens. This is an awesome idea. Currently, the screens in the conference room basically show you a special camera that looks at the wall. Your client can access this camera because you're in the same age. Cross-age this is not possible and would require major changes. Alternatively, live streams like a Twitch stream are possible, of course.

IIRC, Opa did some work on a live Tournament table view which polled the live stats from the web. It ran into some issues. Maybe this is something we can finish someday (possibly not for the next tournament, though).

This sounds like an absolute great idea, Rock and Doobes, and right in time, so that it could be announced at the next AGM ...

The idea to integrate the awesome pub as an audience platform and for the party and the celebration of the champions afterwards is even more great, be it through an imager if possible or an internet source ... but everyone, haha, don't forget that some are also needed to actually participate in the tournament, instead of just making ourselves comfortable in the pub and watching the show while munching on popcorn, cookies, pizza or steaks lol ... yeah, just saying, though I know it sounds tempting, for me too, hehe, and this is however a wonderful idea, and this is my vote for it ...

As for the best time, I believe it is save for me to say, the time that'd be comfortable for you Mystler and the TOC team might be just right for me too ...

no, alas, it is not possible. (When I mentioned a twitch stream, I meant that it could be given to people who want to watch and meet in the pub. I did not mean accessing the stream from *within* the game.)

Since the "Bink incident" we have no way to play video at all. You might have noticed that the intro videos (Cyan intro and avatar creation) are gone on all shards including MOULa. The reason is that we have no movie player in the code as the original Bink player had to be stripped due to legal issues. The implementation of an alternative WebM player (a popular and slim web video format) is still a WIP.

There's plans of several Events happening in MOULa during November, and I'll try
put up a preliminary schedule of what, when and where on the MOULa Forums, but
perhaps not before All Guilds Meeting, that happens November 1st (13:00 at Kirel)

Guild of Messengers are involved (I'm a member), several Hoods will most likely
(or hopefully) be, the Radio Free D'ni, WMR... But anybody's welcome who wants
to contribute!!!

A Wall Tournament in TOC would be great to try and incorporate in the Fun & Games!
I'll keep an eye on this, to see how it progresses.

It still would be great to be able to gather and watch
everyone's favorite movies, TV shows, etc.
Wishful thinking.
But, the tournament sounds like it will be a blast.
