shorah all, well, I got this far! I can get onto the forum(obviously) but when I try to use the interface and register my avatar, I see a message" email address doesn't exist" , what do I do?

register my avatar...huh?

If I understood you correctly you are trying to use the TOC-Interface which is not for registering but for players who already have an account.

hi mystler, I have a password and a user name, which let me into the forums( obviously). But do I need to register again for an account? is that different than having a user name and and password? I still can't get toc to run, so I guess i'm missing even more stuff. honestly, this is very frustrating. it seems so complicated....

Your forum account is for the forums only. If you want one for the TOC-Moul shard too, you have to create it here:
