After several runs at downloads & reinstalls I managed to cobble together a folder with the .dll and other files to get a clean TOC MOUL,a 2.12 External.Release update on into the open cave Login Screen. Put in my Account Name: JahmenMyst and Pasword: xxxxx Language: English and hit Login button. Authentification Failed. Please try again. Invalid account name or password.


This would be the same account name and password I used before to login in with before I got all the new issues of .dll and stuff.
Plus I write this stuff down so I can look it up to make sure if I forgot the name & password. So I know the Name & Password are correct.
So what's the problem here now? Server down? Anyone? Clues? Hints? about what is still borked with my TOC access?

I cannot really follow your description. What is your current problem: Missing DLLs, Filepatching or Logging In?

If your account has been working before, it should still work. Make sure again your TOC client has the latest dat/sfx folders from the MOULa client and also try to download http://other.the-open-cave.net/installer/TOC-Moul.zip again and extract it into your TOC folder.

I hope you can get it to work.

Looks like incomplete MOULa dat folder sync.

I can see how my post could be confusing.
The other prior posts were what the messages were that I was getting when I would initiate my TOC updater.

My issue now is login. Authentication Failed. Please try Again.

I resolved all the other updater issues stopping me from getting the update and Logon screen.

Like I said I'm using the same name and password I always used before to get in with before things broke.

I seem to have JahmenMyst's problem with Login (I have tried numerous times) and get the error:

Authentication Failed. Please try Again.
Invalid account name or password

Everything seems to have installed correctly for TOC-MOUL,
I am using my email address as the account name and the same password that I use for the forum.

EDIT: is there a limit for the number of password characters??
my password may be too long??

I clicked the activation link and got the message

BUT when I attempt to log on Authentication fails

I cured the problem by requesting a password change evidently the original was too long

Glad it works now.

I LOVE the City of Dimensions. Hawkster gave me a guided tour this am. and That age is going to be my primary home on TOC
