Possible bug and question

I just completed the second GZM hunt and registered at the Great Zero. However, when I tried going back to the calibration room via the left door, I found that the door opens part way and then closed again. It does the same thing coming from the other side. The right-side door works fine.
Question--In the Ki photo below, what is the significance of the blue circle with a dot that is similar to a marker symbol? The URU offline version shows a journey symbol as used in Ercana and Ahnonay.

Perhaps you should seek the secret marker...
No, just kidding!
But, it's right that's a marker and not a pots journey symbol...
Perhaps something Cyan made for the (past) futur ?

I seem to remember the issue with one of those doors. I guess it is related to a PhysX problem or a simple bug in Cyan's PRPs. Does this occur in MOULa, too?

No, I do not think so.
This with the door is I also noticed yesterday when I played a few of the GZ marker mission was.
When I was out the door before she went to my nose.
I think the blue marker symbolically represents the calibration marker which can be found in Moula to the KI with the Great Zero synchronize.

I guess I am playing too many MOUL versions at the same time! I thought the 14 marker quests were not working in TOC?? Maybe that's Gehn where they do not work. I seem to recall that in MOULa this same symbol appeared after the two mandatory marker quests (green and red) were completed. I don't recall if it changed after the 14 quests were completed. I'll have to go back and look.
If it helps confuse matters, I am also replaying the original offline game (Uru-->To D'ni-->POTS).

That is not a bug at all.
On every MOUL version there is a blue marker up there.
There is no fuzz to make about it.
URU:CC and MOUL being 2 DIFFERENT games we can't compare them. It doesn't change anything for MOUL that in URU:CC there's a shell symbol and vice versa.

I'm not really agree with
that...
The "offline" versions of the game are from the "online" first one.
There are necesserly some comparisons to do, somewhere, in our minds...
In "The Path Of The Shell" (or "Complete Chronicles"), the symbol is the shell one... But there is something else behind it :
"It's telling us" (or if you prefer, "we can think") that we probably have to go there to find something :
But we must finish
In "Myst Online: Uru Live", it's the marker symbol...
There's no "secret marker" to find after the GZ calibration (I think)...
So the marker symbol is just here to tell us that there are the 14 quests to do... For synchronizing our KI with the GZ.
If the GZ imager isn't telling us something, why it isn't empty ?
This is just my opinion.

The bug I was referring to was not the marker symbol. It was the door not working properly. Originally, I said the right-side door was working OK but yesterday, at least once, it stuck open! I'm not worried about it as long as I can get into the calibration room. I am currently working on the marker quests. I have completed 1-3.
Have a good weekend.

ok then it's a recurring bug you are mentionning.
I doesn't happen a lot in MOULa but in TOC it is
I worked a lot in the GZ few months ago making quests in TOC and I got some issues with those doors.
Some of the time they were wide open and as soon as I approached them they close right before I was able to pass them. They were working on reverse. When I was backing up they reopened
