hi,
have you tried step 2.2 to execute the instructions?

Shorah Janeerah. I have the same problem. My MOULa is installed in D:\Games\Myst\URU and the D: drive is just another partition on the same hard disc drive as C:

I get into the setup and click "OK" for English, and it just starts "extracting initialization files" before popping up with an error: "No existing MOULa installation found. Please use the installer from http://www.mystonline.com". I click OK and that's that. I really don't want to reinstall MOULa onto the default directory in C: drive. I don't install anything in C: outside of Windows utilities. So what is this about trying "step 2.2 to execute the instructions?" Is there a way to plug in the MOULa installation folder on an extension when running the TOC-MOUL.exe from a command prompt or "Run..." launcher?

After using the official MOULa installer (doesn't matter where you choose to install it, you can also just run the installer on your existing MOULa directory again and start the UruLauncher to update the game) it will create an registry entry. The TOC installer is looking for this entry. If it's not there, you do not have MOULa installed and the TOC installer won't work.

^^ That's my "remove software" window and there's MOULa highlighted in red. I assume that means that it's in the registry. It's still not detected by the TOC-MOUL.exe installer.

Are you running Windows XP/Vista/7?

Can you please look in your Registry (Win+R => enter "regedit" => click "OK") under
"HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE/SOFTWARE/Wow6432Node/MOUL"
(for XP: "HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE/SOFTWARE/MOUL") if there is a key "Install_Dir"?
I can pack the necessary files for you in a .zip, but I want to know how to improve the installer.

Thanks for the fast reply. I may have a few clues as to why it's not working properly now. I have MOULa installed in D:\Games\Myst\"URU Live"\ and I have URU CC installed from Steam as well. The registry is present but it shows the install directory at D:\Steam\steamapps\common\"uru cc"\"URU Live" ...

^^ The installer must be searching for MOULa in the wrong location and then complaining that it isn't found. To improve the installer, I suggest that you enable users to select their current MOULa installation directory manually.

EDIT: This may be my own fault. Long time ago, but I may have installed MOULa to that folder originally and then moved it to the Myst folder after the fact. I went ahead and created a hyperlink called "URU Live" to the "uru cc" folder and it still didn't work, so I moved the URU Live folder to the uru cc folder and got half way through the installation, then moved it back before continuing the install process and the install failed. Seems I have no choice but to copy the Uru Live folder to its original location and complete the installation before removing it from the original directory.

EDIT: That didn't work either. I'm just going to remove and reinstall MOULa so that the registry points it to the correct directory and then I'll install TOC MOUL into a subfolder there.

EDIT: Actually, it did work the last time I tried it. I was assuming that some .dll files were lost in the convoluted sauce of copying and moving files back and forth. Just finished reinstalling MOULa and TOC MOUL from scratch, and TOC MOUL won't launch with the following error:
Image
I downloaded and added MSVCP100.dll and it gave me the error that MSVCR100.dll didn't exist. I downloaded and added MSVCR100.dll and it gave another error that it failed to load on a line in the MSVCR100.dll file:

I tried downloading MSVCR100.dll from multiple online sources and it's the same result every time. Is this installer missing dependencies?

Way, Google the missing dll files and put them in C:/Windows/System32
You will also need to update PhysX (there is a link somewhere for that)

Already got the files from Google and I had to add them to the TOC MOUL folder (I tried adding them to C:\Windows\System32 first). I'll check for an update for PhysX and see if that does the trick.

I installed the Ageia PhysX version that came with the TOC MOUL content and it didn't affect the outcome on startup.

Went googling for the latest PhysX and ended up finding nVidia's PhysX_9.10.0513_SystemSoftware package. My C:\"Program Files (x86)"\Ageia\ data was overwritten. Still no joy.

There is no need to copy any files to a windows folder:
