There is another, indirect path Grandbad showed me, and GiGi has a Marker Game therefore:
Starting at Plaza heading to the Great Canyon... (more will not be revealed ;) )

I developped an early game with some guys who were following me (Koltch & Mirphak). It was before the new climbing abilities were possible. We were able to visit every bit (but the holes) of this entire section comprise between the Canyon, the Lake & the Great Stairs.

Now that we have easy climbing abilities, I don't go this way anymore, it's easier by the way I go or even Gabriml's way. I never thought of his way but it's logical. Thing is that only the path we developped (see my first paragraph) was available before the release (a month or so ago) giving us the new climbing abilities.

-------------------------

Now if Filtik could also remove these panic link regions from the COD age files:

1. District_TOC_canyon.prp in scene objects: BridgePanicRegion
2. District_TOC_canyon.prp in scene objects: PanicLinkRegion
3. District_TOC_courtyard.prp in scene objects: PanicLinkRegion
4. District_TOC_library.prp in scene objects: PanicLinkRegion

Those 4 objects were putted there by Cyan to prevent us to have FUN. Since TOC is not aiming to be boring, those objects are therefore unnecessary :)

You have to distinguish 2 panic links: the one "by default" when you go under the age and eventually after a fall you panic link out & the ones "intentionally" putted there (see the 4 above) to prevent us to reach certain areas solid beneath them.

I accidentally  found another way up the 'Opera House' mountain.
Spoiler:
1. Climb up the hill between the 'kings hall canyon outlook' (the one with the imager) and the stairs down to the 'strip mall'. This is the hill that folks use to jump over to the staircase rail for access--too technical for me.
2. Follow around to the back till you can see the 'strip mall' 'awnings'.
3. Make sure you are on the upper 1/3 of the hill.
4. Jump over to the 'awning'
5. Run-Jump up the hill.
This is even easier the the great stair route.

@ Gabriml: your "too technical for me" way that's what I was talking about yesterday ;) It was the only way until the changes. In fact with the new climbing abilities we have now...infinite possibilities.

I remember having reached, three weeks ago, the opera house by going thru the marsh of the Library Hallway and jumping across the river and climb up the cliff. You must do it at a certain point or you will hit the panic link zones I explained in my previous post

I still have to learn about the cat. As for the ferry boat, I can see it out in the lake but it never moves. If it is supposed to dock every fifteen minutes, something is rotten in Denmark.

I love this place and I just discovered it two days ago.

A thorough read of this topic will let you know about the cat and many other COD features.

The the boat in the lake that looks like a ferry is not the ferry but you can ride the ferry to it. Go to the ferry slips to find the ferry. I goes every 15 minutes--I think.

What are the Courtyard and Pub Imagers Rules?

I have been able to load KI Images into both courtyard and pub imagers. But I'm not sure who moderates these images. When I go the pub imager there are usually no images. After posting an image in the pub I have relinked to COD and found them gone. Tonight I put some images on the courtyard imager and it went black. :?:

Visitor List in COD

Are there any plans to revive the Visitor List in the COD pub?

It works in the hoods. Is it a privacy thing?

Thanks for your reply.

Folks,

Shorah and my compliments on a great city! Just discovered it for the first time. I used to program and am hoping to be useful in some way after I've found my way around and learn some, review the code etc. As a lowly architect I'm also curious about how the bits and pieces of the game function together:

* What makes an age an age?
* How is a book for an age inserted into the city, or into a pub?
* Why do the new ages show up simply as nexus links, and not books in, say, the Watchers Pub (a la Ahnonay, Ercana)? Lots of unused alcoves !

...Perhaps I'll find the answers on this site...

My first impression was that there's far too much detail than the needs of a static background would require, there must have been plans for expansion (and infilling). Gads, only about a third of the doughnut-shaped island is city: the rest is open for development. Or a preserve, to get away from the city and find out what the mountains say to you.

I LOVE the cat !

Here's a question: at the bottom of the cliff at the end of Tokotah Alley, just below where the Descent Bahro stone usually is, there's a small squarish object. A bit wide for a Relto page (same colour), but definitely something is there. Couldn't jump or float down because of the panic-link built in. Tried the cheat codes, but was linked out as soon as I got close. So I floated around from the docks, clockwise... again hit a panic-link zone. Without giving anything away, is something there worth the struggle, or is it a bit of discolouration in the background?

Please advise...

Thanks for all of your hard work and participation

Nothing lowly about Architects. As a Project Manager, Architects are the resource I find hardest of get hold of, and I need the most. Kudos, and a garland of Martian fireflowers (yes, I'm currying favour - you never know when it will be needed).

I like what's been done in CoD, but my enthusiasm is diminished because I first found it a few days before the Physics engine was upgraded, and had just a taste, a sweet introduction, to skydiving as it was. I was shown lots of places I can't get to anymore (the fog room, for instance), and I'm really quite put out about that.

From reading around the forums, it seems the old physics can be accessed by using a special client. Can anyone tell me if that's true in ToC?
Now I've started looking for the Journey Cloths in CoD and the bevin. Well, it's new content to me :)
