What is flymode. I have seen people talking about it but I don't know what it is or how to use it. I do have an offline version of TPOTS installed.

It is like "flying" through the ages. Like there is no gravity. Basically, it is a dev mode for taking look around what you've done :)
p.s.: at MOULa you can do that with the internal client.
p.p.s.: I , personally, don;t recommend using flying, cause you will eventually see, how many unfinished projects CYAN have in the ages. :?

Cal, Flymode was originally a patch (from the COBBs site iirc) that you could apply to your PotS installation to allow you to turn off the physics and move your avatar (and point of view) anywhere in the age. Collisions turned off, the avatar is turned and moved forward and back by the cursor keys, toggled to go up and down by the space bar. The shift key increases the speed of changes. Escape turns flymode on and off.

You are intangible and can fly through walls and floors, go anywhere. Not to be used until you've finished the game unless you are OK with spoilers (don't expect that to apply to many in ToC)

In MOUL, there are the magic bots that allow a similar flymode, except the interface is a bit clunkier.

There is also the internal client for those that have it : most of us don't. It is a client with elevated rights which allow you to execute commands that let you go anywhere. A developers or administrators client, basically. Only to be used in your own private ages.

Cal, if you have TPotS offline installed you just need to download Drizzle (no install, it's a Java app) and through Drizzle in seconds install the Offline KI and then you have automatically Fly Mode available, all available fan created ages at hand to download and explore as well as all of this (using Fly Mode and all other features of the Offline KI) and all of this (all available perfectly working KI commands and more features) ... Enjoy ... :D

Through Drizzle you can also convert Myst V, Crowthistle, Hex Isle and what not, and you can link your Drizzle to your MOULa installation so that you have all MOULa ages to explore with Fly Mode etc. ... I wonder that you didn't get to know this by now, but however, it's worth and about time to take a look into this ... :)

Janaba, I have drizzle and have explored most of the fan ages as well as MYST5 and MOULa. Is it possible to link it to TOC-MOUL?

I tried flymode in TPOTS and it works as advertised. Certainly a lot easier than using float and its subcommands.

Give me a few more months and I'll be an expert in the URU world!

Aha, yeah, you were asking above 'What is Fly Mode' that's why I gave this extensive answer how to get to know it easily with everything else ... :P

And no, I don't know if it'd be compatible and possible to link Drizzle to TOC MOUL and to convert it and make that sound decompression etc. to make it work ... but why anyway, you won't see and experience that much more, except the wonderful stuff the TOC team has made available in the City of Dimensions, but this you can explore in your TPotS installation linked to MOULa as well, only that those areas are not as open as in the CoD ... you can explore above the Hall of Kings, the Guild Hall and everywhere ... ok, you won't have the same Kahlo Pub and the disco, but that is it already ... but, let's see what Mystler or Filtik say, if that'd be possible and compatible at all ... :D

Hehe, and to your last statement, judging by your extensive explorations, I believe you might well be an Uru expert already ... 8-)

Converting ages to the MOUL format can be a bit painful and I am still hoping that more ages are created for MOUL instead of TPotS.
It is possible to do it, but we prefer to wait for nice MOUL-compatible ages instead of forcing "older" ages to work with TOC-Moul.
