Ok now we're having problems again...
When I launch the wrapper and the patcher starts to do its thing, it downloads a file called UruLauncher.exe.tmp and then quits, with no error message or anything. I'm having the exact same problem with the Gehn Shard, although the Cyan server still works fine. I hope you're still out there boblishman, and I thank you again for your help before.

You probably need to copy the Visual C+ 2013 DLLs in the TOC folder.

Yes, you need to download these two dll files and put them into the windows/system32 folder inside the wrapper.... then find the UruLauncher.exe.tmp (make sure it has already downloaded into your main install folder - it should be sitting next to UruLauncher.exe. If it's not there, simply start the TOC-MOUL wrapper again and you'll see it download before it quits. Now check it's there.).
Finally, you need to move the original UruLauncher.exe to the trash, and then rename the UruLauncher.exe.tmp to UruLauncher.exe by simply deleting the ".exe" from its filename and agreeing to the prompt asking you if "you want to use the exe extension instead of the .tmp one".

Simples. (Not! ;) )

I did mine yesterday and everything is working fine again now. I also did exactly the same procedure for the Gehn Shard and that's working fine too.

Happy Uru-ing!

Running good again. BTW, do you know if it is possible to get complete chronicles and the offline ki working using wineskin?

Yes, it is. I have (Offline) Complete Chronicles installed* and then I installed Drizzle which automatically finds and downloads and installs the offline KI. Drizzle is a bit of a nightmare on Mac at the start. Initially, when you tell it where your tPotS install folder is it says it can't find the folder. I have posted instructions about it here.
Tip: once you have Drizzle working, make sure you change the server it uses to the new one, also detailed in that thread.

*the only version I know that will install with wine is the GOG (Good old Games) version. The installer will fail with UruABM & Pots CDs as well as CC CD's. You will need the GOG version to get wine to actually install Complete Cronicles.

So just copying an installation folder from a CD install into the wrapper won't work? It has to be gog?

Of that, I am not sure, because I no longer had any Windows machines (or install folders to copy from) so my only option was to install under Wine. You could certainly try it (but remember to use the 1.5.2 engine when you build the wrapper). When pointing Drizzle to your install folder make sure the path has the "contents'" folder in it and remember to restart your machine before trying to download the offline KI.

Well that didn't go well... Can get the uru setup to work but I always get an error message afterward saying UruExplorer.exe has a serious error. Oh well, just going to have to break down and buy gog.

I have the Windows Steam version of Uru:CC, but I had it run in a Windows environment first, perhaps that changed something compared with a new installation (I’m using the 1.5.21 engine and 2.5.8 wrapper – the noisy one). GOG does look like the easiest solution; remember to point the wrapper to Uru.exe or UruSetup.exe. Drizzle creates an invisible settings file, if you move the jar file every settings will be reset.
