Log In No Longer Recognizes My ID & Password

The new 2nd account was "activated". Would not authenticate. Tried clearing cache again (how does it know to clear the new 2nd account and not the old one?) Activated a new password. Same response, would not authenticate.

Today I opened yet a 3rd new email account, with a new and different password. After receiving the email and activating new account, I tried to open TOC and again was told that authentication had failed. The only thing I can guess is that somehow the server recognizes my computer, regardless of account ID. Is that possible? Why can't this be fixed??

Because we STILL do not KNOW what is causing the problem. You are one of the only players having this issue.

We cleared the vault from all accounts without avatars today, so, if you could not create one yet, please register a new account.

Not anymore. I'm having the same issue. Updating the client worked fine but it won't let me in. Email is correct. Password is correct but it still fails to accept it.
I REALLY tried a couple of times...

Nicht mehr. Ich hab das gleiche Problem. Das Client Update funktionierte ohne Probleme, aber er läßt mich nicht mehr rein. Email ist richtig sowie das Passwort; dennoch werden beide nicht angenommen.
Ich habe es MEHRFACH versucht...

Not yet, didn't have that kind of time last night. But I don't see the point in that. Just tried the TOC-MOUL Interface with identical login data and I got in without any troubles and have access to the stats of my avatars.

edit: K, tried getting a new password. Same result

Well, that is an interesting point to start.

Just a question: Are there any special characters like umlauts or accents in your mail or password? This will help me to figure out if it could be related to unicode changes.

Nope, nothing really special. Just normal ASCII stuff. Nothing you wouldn't find on any western keyboard.

Edit: Interesting thing though is that when I choose a different language than English the error message changes to simply "Authentication Failed. Please try again." No more account or password message.

The auth failure messages are static in other languages. Maybe it is time to translate them... (Note to myself.)

However, I did a complete cleanup and new build of the client, please try it now.
