All of my SEVEN different online shards are working normally ... although the latest update to TOC-MOUL (I haven't played since that last update) again broke the install. To repair it I did the following:

Ainia, I feel for you. I truly wish I could help but my TOC-Moul install works flawlessly. I don't know if it's important but I am using an iMac, not a PowerBook but I'm simply powerless to reproduce your problems. I know how distressing it is when something just fails for no apparent reason... I ...

OK. I have a suggestion: When then install "fails" because of a .gz file ... pop over to your current MOULa dat folder ...

I can confirm that I have been in today and running around the CoD without ANY problems ... so its not the Shard at fault ... it's your Wineskin version/engine/settings and Mac OSX version that are not compatible. I have all the shards (MOUL and CC) up and working. Maybe it's time to upgrade to ...

The other "problem" is that we are all not using the same version of Mac OSX. I'm running 10.9.4 (Mavericks) and all is well and obviously I can't troubleshoot for earlier versions that I don't have. My only advice is to keep trying different engines.

EDIT:

FIXED IT: USE ENGINE 1.7.18.

The latest update now works on Engine 1.7.18 flawlessly, the same one I use on the Gehn Shard.

Download the 1.7.18 engine, run it and the TOC-MOUL updater runs again... and fixes everything ... :mrgreen: :D :)

Another tip: go back into the Wineskin /Advanced (as above) and untick "decorate windows" in the screen options section. Some Mac users (mostly on older machines an OSXs) say this is a must though I'm not exactly sure what this does!

This is where it's difficult for me to comment because my Mac is new and running Mavericks. If I get the occasional stack dump then I make sure I'm not running anything unnecessary in the background, and I always restart my machine, especially if I've been using Wineskin to run other shards or games ...
